Opinions and Editorials

Okay, seeings as how this will be an article about editorials, and opinions I think I will try to answer the afore mentioned question.

The question being why do people read editorials or even the opinions of someone else. Doesn't everyone just think for themselves?

Well yes and no. People do think for themselves but some people are lazy and would much rather read someone else's opinion on something than to actually decide for themselves why they like something. Maybe not everyone is blessed with the ability to ramble for hours on end. (ha ha)

I think a better question may possibly be why do people write editorials or opinions. First it is because other people take the time to read these opinions or editiorials. Or at least we believe they do. If no one reads all of these opinion pages or editorials I suppose we are in for a rude awakening.

Means some of us have just so happened to of found a more entertaining way to chatter away to ourselves. (At least that is my opinion.)

Well the more reasonable answer to these questions is this, not everyone has time to go watch a movie or read a book or go on vacation at the drop of the hat. So instead what is done instead is to start looking for people who have done one of the things they are interested in. If the opinion is from someone they trust then that person may at some point decide to act on the opinion of the other person. And take a vacation to Timbuktoo or something. Or if it is the opnion of someone they don't trust maybe they will just stay home.

Now for the person who does more than just give his opinion the one who writes editiorials for this person they may be trying to add filler or extra entertainment to their magazine or newspaper.

So the editorial writer will want to inform while at the same time being informative. The editorial writer is likely someone who likes to write or talk . Someone who likes people. Also the editorial person is likely to be someone who spends some time making observations about people. Not only people but surroundings as well.

Well for this editorial opinionated article I do believe I need to leave as I am growing very tired. So I will need to go to bed.
