You've seen them in restaurants, and you've seen them at the deli of your favorite grocery store, and now you can fix them at home, any time you choose! I'm talking about the Original Poppers brand Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers.

We all get cravings for these snack foods from time to time, and my husband especially likes me to have a variety of snack foods around the house for his snack attacks. I love the Jalapeno Poppers, and although I buy them regularly from our stores deli department, but occasionally I will choose the variety found in my grocers freezer aisle!

Description

My box of Jalapeno Poppers is eigth ounces, and is small enough to store in the small freezer section of our side by side fridge. It's hard to miss, as the front has a large picture of these yummy treats, and the word "Poppers" is quite large. Although these come in both cream cheese and cheddar cheese, we prefer the cream cheese variety. The box states that these are mild jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese in a crispy breading.

If you've never eaten one, they are about the size of a McDonalds chicken nugget, and look similar in color and shape as well.

Inside the box, the Poppers are enclosed in a plastic bag, ensuring they stay nice and fresh. It's easy to close the bag up and put the remainder back in the oven for a later time. The 8 ounce box only contains 9 pieces of Jalapeno Poppers.

How To Prepare Jalapeno Poppers

There are two ways to heat these tasty treats. You can use the oven method, which requires heating them in a hot, 450 degree oven for 6 minutes, turning them over and baking for another 5 minutes. (Overheating can cause some filling to spill out).

The second method is to deep fry them. After preheating your oil to 350 degrees, you fry the jalapenos for 4 1/4 minutes, and then let them sit for one minute before eating.
