Fantasy GEMS
Young guns Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun are considered the cream of the crop for the Milwaukee Brewers and fantasy owners in 2008. In only his second full season as a major leaguer, Fielder belted out 50 homeruns and 119 rbi's at a .288 clip. His third season should be just as magical.

2007 rookie of the year winner Ryan Braun also enamored fantasy owners in 2007 with his big bat. Whether Braun can continue his grossly huge power numbers or not in 2008 is an issue that many people have debated. But odds are definitely in his favor that he can indeed continue his ride at the plate.

Another player that would be considered a very good fantasy gem if not for past injuries is starting pitcher Ben Sheets. However it is worth noting that if Sheets can stay healthy all year, and the Brewers offense continues to produce runs, Sheets has a very realistic chance at posting 20 wins in what should be a fairly weak division.

Fantasy DUDS
The Brewers duds should come via their 'key' off-season transactions. Former closer Eric Gagne will be facing steroid and suspension issues, not to mention his lack of ability to stay healthy. And the other newly signed free agent, Mike Cameron, is facing banned substance charges. Unfortunately Cameron is already suspended for the first 25 games of the year, and his usual combination of speed and power is dwindling with his age. To expect much fantasy wise in 2008 out of these two isn't likely.
