Mexican Restaurant Favorites in Asheville, NC

Loving Mexican food is something that many people have in common. The fact that we Mexican food lovers have certain restaurants we favor over others is also something we share in common. Therefore, this is why I have compiled a list of my five favorite local Mexican restaurants here in
Asheville, North Carolina that have great food, and even though some places may be more expensive than others, all are certainly worth it. These five restaurants are listed in no particular order, as I love them all equally.
La Paz Mexican Restaurant: La Paz translates to "the peace" in English. This restrauant is located in Downtown Asheville. They also have locations in other southeastern states, so if you want to look for one near you, check out: www.lapaz.com. La Paz has been an Asheville favorite for many years. They serve a wide variety of dishes, including my personal favorites, tortilla soup and chicken and spinach chimichangas. Their menu will always leave you yearning for more.
El Chapala: This restaurant is located on Smokey Park Highway in West Asheville. The best thing about this place, besides the food of course, is the lunch buffet. The lunch buffet is available from 11am-2pm Monday through Friday, for $5.75 plus tax and beverage. I always go for this because the queso dip, that sells for $3/bowl is on the buffet along with all the things I need to make a variety of their lunch dishes that sell starting at $5.50 each. You can make burritos, fajitas, tacos, salads, and more with what is on the bar, plus they provide chimichangas and enchiladas, too.
Guadalajara: Located on Tunnel Road near the Asheville Mall, this restaurant has incredible deals on equally incredible food. I do not go there as often as I used to be because it's not as close to my house as the others, and plus I craved a lot of it when I was pregnant.

For a city the size of Waltham, MA, I am always amazed, and, I might add, a little impressed that it boasts no less than five Mexican Restaurants within the confines of the city. They've got a variety of styles and degrees of authenticity to choose from.
