Hawaii Romance Music Festival 2008 Coming to Honolulu, Hawaii

The Hawaii Romance Music Festival 2008 is coming back to the state of Hawaii after its first occurrence last year. The Hawaii Romance Music Festival 2008 will feature a lineup of local musicians playing live music, as well as festivals and dinners. To help promote the event, local Hawaii businesses and corporations have been running events and fundraisers over the past month, including a contest on the Honolulu Advertiser-Hawaii's largest newspaper-to find Hawaii's "Most Romantic Man."

According to the Festival's website, tickets for the Hawaii Romance Music Festival 2008 will go on sale on February 14th, , and the music festival starts on May 2nd. The festival will be taking place at the Hawaii Theater, the Waikiki Shell (a popular hotel along the famous Waikiki beach strip) and the Blaisdell Arena. It will run for a little over a week until May 11th and will be hosted by the Matt Catingub Orchestra of Hawaii.

"I went to it last year and it was great," says Janet, a Hawaii resident who's face lights up when talking about her experience. "It was so much fun, and I'm glad they're coming back again this year!"

Tickets to most of the events start at $25 USD, but can range much higher to above $100. "Tickets are kind of expensive, but for what you get I think it's a great deal," says Janet.

The Hawaii Romance Music Festival 2008 will being on Friday, May 2nd. The opening festivities will include a chance for festival goers to renew their wedding vows.

On Saturday, there will be a wine tasting and dinner event accompanied with live music including Hawaii musical celebrity Amy Hanaialii. "I love Amy Hanaialii," says Janet, "she is one of my favorite musicians."
