(Authors note: The purpose of this writing is to promote tolerance by examining lifestyles and faiths. It is in the spirit of scholarly debate that this article was written.)

The current head of Scientology is a small, shell of a man named David Miscavige. When David Miscavige was facing a possible prison sentence he was worried about becoming a sex toy of one of the larger male prisoners. It is ironic that David Miscavige would be concerned about this possibility when it is well known that the cult's founder, L. Ron Hubbard, enjoyed the company of young men immensely. On his boats he enjoyed being served beverages by young, scantily clad, cabin boys. It is do as I say, not do as I do in this organization. A clear example of this is L. Ron Hubbard taking an anti -anxiety medication before he died despite the cult's obsessive prohibition against all psychiatric medications.

The "Church" of Scientology is a big money scam that steals the minds and funds of its followers. Scientology, like the Jehovah Witness Watchtower cult, imprisons the mind and spirit to an organization. Scientology is different from older cults in the respect that it attempts to be high tek, cutting edge, and cool. This is why celebrities are aggressively courted by the cult. The cult attempts to lure in American youth with spokesmen and women like: John Travolta, Nicole Kidman, Lisa Presley, Kirstie Alley, Kelly Preston and Priscilla Presley. It seems that the birds are returning to roost with the flock of Hollywood failures that represent the cult today. John Travolta and Tom Cruise no longer have draw at the box office.

Takeaways
  • There is nothing fun or cool about cult blackmail.
  • Scientology is a totalitarian cult completely lacking in goodness and basic decency.
  • Go ahead; declare me a "Suppressive".
Did You Know?
Tell 6 or 7 hundred close friends not to become involved in the cult of blackmail that is Scientology.

And Greg, could you please tell me what misinformation i have written in these posts? It's not very adult to accuse me of something without saying what it is. I hope every reads all of your posts as well as mine. Unlike you I have no fear of people seeing how I believe and why I believe as I do.

Greg, are you going to post this on every site? Why are you so worried someone will listen to me? I have treated you with respect and yes I have listed links to critic groups. But you know full well I have also listed the scientology link as well so people can see both sides. How sad your faith is so little you can't talk things out.

To all Scientologists: There are two clowns all around this website who are quite suppressive. One is named Tigger who just spews venom and the other is jerald who seems more "reasonable" but spreads ridiculous misinformation as well. Their goal is to get you to log on to web sites that want to destroy Scientology. My advice is not to engage them in any dialogue as their minds are made up. Their only power is to restimulate.

No Tigger, That's a pinched loaf if ever I've heard one. Auditing is the exact antithesis of hypnosis and wakes people up. Hypnosis relies on the datum that every mental image picture of pain or painful emotion has in common a shutting down of consciousness - hence hence, you would fall asleep if you tried to examine these experiences yourself without the guidance of an auditor "watching the gates" so to speak while you're focused on an auditing session. When these mental image pictures are examined in an auditing session the person becomes more awake, not asleep. Further, these past-life experiences jibe with archival information in every case where such is available (birth/baptismal certificates, military records, cartographic information, to name a few.) so they are not "false memories"; they simply defy the paradigm posited by psychiatry that you are an animal that only lives once. But don't take my word for it. You can borrow the book "Dianetics" and put it to the test,

SCN RECRUITMENT p.s. Then there are the "free personality tests", the "free stress tests", etc. My family member, while on a visit to NYCity was enticed by a pretty girl in a short shirt to come to a "free" party and lecture on "communication" with nary a mention of "Scientology" or "church".

Scientology calls it self a "Church" yet it's ideas of praying are to hold cans and use basic human reflexes and link them to "past lives". What does this have to do with a "creator" or acheaving "spritual freedom"? I doubt these Scientologists, really know anything about autism, or any mental illness or disablitiy. I doubt they work with Special Needs people etc. LRH was no "expert" or Doctor. I doubt his "birth" was a silent one for his mother. For pitty sake, it's all drivel from a Sci-Fi writer. Yet other writers like Asimov, wrote about phycho-history in his novels. So basicly Ron, tried to create his own therpy method, but not include it in a novel. Create a "religion" based on it.

Jehovah's Witnesses are more numerous than scientology and cause more destruction, especially breaking up families. This is because they thump the holy bible AND recruit door to door.Scientologist have never intruded at my home.

Perhaps this article seems harsh and critical to some. But to those of us who have been there, and are no longer willing to be associated with the cult of $cientology, it rings true. Keep spreading the word!

ROFLMAO!! Why was Commander Thompson's nickname 'Snake'and who was it that taught LRH to masturbate at a very young age?

Well said Tigger.

TTFM, "drive the anti scientology critics" ? Now may I ask why you would say something like that? If you have read the posts you will see every critic that has posted here has been against what was said. Which makes whatever point you were trying to make moot i guess.

Hey Tigs! Good points, been missing you posting around the traps, just noticed a few days ago you're back on a.r.s. and OCMB. Come say hi to us here if you have time. Save Tom Cruise from that hideous Cult of Scientology, too! tomcruisehq.com

So, tell me, Sue: Why does Scientology use the Thelemic Cross and double triangle as symbols? Seems to me more of an Occult Order than a religion. What with your Inner and Outer Temples as it were and Death curses for reading amterial above one's grade and, don't go into the Hubbard was udnercover when involved with the OTO. That's not what I was told. Oneother question: why is a religion that cliams to conquer the Reactive Mind so damn Reactive?

Posted on 09/07/2006 at 10:09:00 PM

Hi Sue, I hear what you are saying. But can you find a doctor who hasn't been on CCHR's and scientology's payroll that says the same thing. Dr. Lehrman has worked for scientology for well over twenty years. I do agree that far to many people are on these drugs right now. But thats no reason to stop letting the people who do need them have them. As for proof, independent study after study have proven theses meds work when used right. Unlike the drug program scientology claims a 90 % success rate with. Like I said before, we need to do more to insure that only those who can be helped receive these drugs. But to just cut off the only thing that helps these poor people is just wrong.

Right on, Christian and hi there, Arnie. There are a few inaccuracies in your report Christian, Nicole got the heck out of Co$ before the marriage bust-up with Cruise, and maybe Hubbard did have scantily-clad young boys wait on him, but it was mainly young teenage girls in hot pants and halter tops (sometimes on rollerskates!) dressing him, etc., waiting on him hand and foot on that ship. My girlfriend was one of those "Hubbard messengers," grew up in the Sea Org, escaped this vicious cult in her 20s, and lost her mother who tried to "audit" out her cancer while in Scientology. The "hate speech" is coming from the cult's damage control department, "Office of Special Affairs" - since Tom jumped the couch they've been in overdrive, upped their spamming efforts on every critical board on the net. Free all Cult of Scientology victims! tomcruisehq.com
