All rankings are based off of a standard 5x5 rotisserie scoring system (runs, homeruns, rbi, stolen bases, average) in mixed AL/NL leagues. For additional fantasy information on players and their teams, click on the team name link after each player to view a fantasy team preview for that team in 2008. Good luck in your league this season!

BUST = player will register far below their 2007 stat totals
BREAKOUT = player will surpass expectations and/or have a career year in 2008
SLEEPER = player will be a late round pick or go undrafted and has a good chance of producing fantasy worthy stats in 2008

1. Albert Pujols - St. Louis Cardinals
Simply the number one option because you know what you will get with him.

2. Ryan Howard - Philadelphia Phillies
Homeruns are there, but what happened to the average?

3. Prince Fielder - Milwaukee Brewers
50 homeruns as a 23 year old? Now that's pure power.

4. Mark Teixeira - Atlanta Braves
Texas, Atlanta, it doesn't matter. Just put him in the lineup.

5. David Ortiz - Boston Red Sox
He's everything you want in your fantasy first baseman.

6. Justin Morneau - Minnesota Twins
The surest bet in Minnesota now that Johan is gone.

7. Derek Lee - Chicago Cubs BREAKOUT
Add 15 steals to his 30 homeruns and he's a better option that Morneau, Ortiz, and Teixeira.

8. Lance Berkman - Houston Astros
Good average, good homeruns, good rbi's, Berkman is just simply good.

9. Victor Martinez - Cleveland Indians
He's more valuable as a catcher.

10. Travis Hafner - Cleveland Indians BREAKOUT

11. Garrett Atkins - Colorado Rockies
Isn't he a third baseman? Well he qualifies at 1b in yahoo leagues as well.

12. Paul Konerko - Chicago White Sox
Come on Pauly, we need to see that average up there again.

13. Adrian Gonzalez - San Diego Padres
From #1 overall draft pick, to unwanted, to a top 15 fantasy first baseman.

14. Carlos Pena - Tampa Bay Rays
Maybe it really is never too late to teach an old guy new tricks.

15. Carlos Guillen - Detroit Tigers
The move to first base should keep Guillen healthy for a full season.

16. Todd Helton - Colorado Rockies
Finally in an extremely potent Rockies offense, too bad he doesn't have the power he once had.
