Is Jessica from Big Brother 8 Pregnant?

I first came across this Internet rumor through my Big Brother 9 website (www.squidoo.com/bb9) where I can view statistics about the views to my website. Squidoo tells you how many people have accessed your page through various means, and if it is by search engine, you are told the exact phrases people typed in their search engine. This information helps the creator of the webpage understand their readers and how better to market to the audience they are attracting.

Basically, in the past five days, ninety-five percent of the people who reached www.squidoo.com/bb9 through search engines, had typed in asking if Jessica from Big Brother 8 is pregnant. This is all after her and Eric Stein's appearance as hosts of the first Big Brother 9 HOH competition, "Tunnel of Love" (see my article on that episode http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/601739/recap_big_brother_9_episode_2.html).

During that episode, Jessica Hughbanks wore a cute little dress that apparently is now causing this Internet buzz. Today's fashion is moving away from all form fitting dresses, and what Jessica wore was following that trend; however, the lack of "cling" to the dress has caused many to wonder if she is hiding something.

After first learning about this rumor through Squidoo, I found that it was also prevalent on MySpace. At that point, I went to all the top and respected celebrity news websites and could find not even a mention of the possibility. From that, I concluded that the rumors are most likely false.

Everyone knows how Internet rumors gain a life of their own quickly and even though evidence to the contrary is given, the truth is slower than fiction in cyberspace.
