Recap - Survivor Micronesia - Episode 2

This season's tribal names will most likely be forgotten, as the tribes are generally referred to as "Fans" and "Favorites." In actuality, The fan's tribe is "Airai" and the favorites' is "Malakal."

This week's episode begins with a Survivor first. One tribe has created two separate shelters to house the two factions of the tribe. The viewer would think that this would spell disaster for the smaller group of tribe members, but things are not always as them seem in survivor. Someone gets blindsided and voted out from the larger grouping within that tribe.

Fans:

Airai, the fans, began the episode with a disagreement which led to the creation of two separate shelters. Tracy, Chet and Kathleen became outcasted by the younger tribe members. As some of the younger tribe members kept unsuccessfully attempting to make fire, using the flint and machete, the rest of the tribe were forced to wait for them to give up and allow the machete to be used for building a shelter. The tribe members who were trying to make fire did not 'get it' that they were preventing shelter from being made and they falsely accused the three older tribe members of just standing around doing nothing. Nothing could be done while they held the main building tool in the camp.

Long story short, the younger members finally gave up trying to make fire and began to clear out a cave for shelter as time was getting late. Tracy, Chet and Kathleen were told that they were not welcome to share the cave with the rest of the tribe. Upon hearing this, the three older tribe members got possession of the machete and began building a lean-to shelter.

Favorites:

Meanwhile, over at Malakal, Ozzy was expressing his attraction to Amanda. He wants to hide his attraction to her from the rest of the tribe. Amanda is also attracted to Ozzy and she also wants to hide her feelings from the rest of the tribe.

This tribe has been finding a lot of food, considerably more than the fans have consummed.

Everyone in Malakal was talking about how close James and Parvati have become and their concern over this possible alliance.
