The movie had some great ideas, and some incredible special effects. The end, however, did not seem to tie everything up well.
If you are looking for a movie that has a great idea, then this is a movie to go see. I often choose to watch movies because they will make me think or motivate me in my life, and this one definitely was able to do that. Jumper is about teleporting, and to me this would be incredible. No more using fossil fuels to get us by car or plane from place to place. You can go from China to Australia in five seconds instead of a long plane trip.
This movie presents a great idea in that we could jump from place to place. It also gets you to think about the consequences of jumping from place to place and the negative aspects of teleporting. The first thing I think about is how we would never be able to find out where anyone was! There would be no sense of consistency and predictability left in the world!
The cast was great. I adored Summer (Rachel Bilson) from the OC playing Milli, the highschool friend of the Jumper. She played a great role, and was a little different from her fashion and airhead ways on OC. She seemed to have more substance in this role. She seems to have lost weight!
The lead in this movie, the Jumper, David Rice, is played by Hayden Christenssen. Ladies, you'll find him at his attractive best in this movie! He played the father of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies (Darth Vader)! I think he looked much more attractive in this movie, now that he's a little older. He seems to have gained enough weight to make him look very physically fit instead of just slender. He played the role well, not that anyone was looking beyond his dreamy blue-green eyes! I think he's on to some great roles in his future, and will be one of those stars that looks better with age like Robert Redford.

Did You Know?
The main downside to this movie is that the character of David Rice's Mother, played by Diane Lane, was not well enough developed.
