A few weeks ago I ran through the upcoming releases that are heading to our local googleplexes this summer. Now that the writer's strike is over , entertainment fans will still be starved for new movies after a spring of reality shows and reruns. So while we are waiting for our favorite shows to return I thought an update on my former article might be needed right now. In that article I mentioned that I could not cover every film that is going to be released this summer. However since then a few important releases that have been recently announced for this later summer that I felt need to be covered including two major important releases. So with further ado let's go forward to those hazy, crazy, summer days and run them down one by one.

Son of Rambow
Opens May 2
This years Sundance audience favorite tries to draw in the serious film goers by opening on the same weekend as Iron Man. Directed by Garth Jennings who helmed "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" with a mostly British cast, this quirky story is about a sheltered boy (newcomer Bill Milner) that tries to escape from his world by preparing his own version of "Rambo: First Blood" Though this years Rambo film tanked at the box-office, this small film has the potential to be this year's Little Miss Sunshine if audiences can get by the comic book geeks in the lobby.

What Happens in Vegas...
Opens May 16
Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah and Dennis Farina star in this comedy about two people who find themselves married to each other after winning a jackpot in Sin City. Finding themselves unhappy as a couple, they try to out cheat each other of their winnings. Written by Dana Fox who penned The WeddingDate and like her green co star Mike Meyers (who also has a film out this summer as noted in my previous article) Diaz tries to put the princess behind her and attempts to get back in front of the camera.
