Finding a Secret Closet Where You Can Talk to God

My life has changed tremendously since I found the Lord. I have learned so very much from Him. He talks to me often and guides me daily. I feel lost without Him. I want others to share in this love. That is why I write articles offering advice and guiding individuals into a life with the Lord. Years ago, I asked the Lord to use me. I thank Him each day for using me as a vessel to guide others to Him.

I like to hear from God everyday, but there are times when I need him intensely. When those times occur, I go into my secret place and He meets me there. He will provide me with some hint of His presence. I see a cloud or a bird or a breeze passes by or something as a little special indication of His presence. When I am in His presence, I talk to Him and seek His wisdom in any situation consuming me at the time.

Years ago, I discovered what my secret closet was. When i first moved into my new house, I found that I felt a warmth and a love permeate my being when I was at a window in my home. I felt the love of God extremely strong at this window. I realized then that this was the spot I would meet my Lord, This was the spot where He would present Himself.

Now, we all know that God is everywhere. You can find Him whenever and wherever you choose. However, as I state to my employees who ask, there is a spot somewhere in your home where only you and God place special emphasis on. In this particular spot, He will come into your heart and have a conversation with you. He will guide you there. All you have to do is ask Him to meet you there. And when there, you will know and feel His presence.

When I go into my secret spot, I anxiously expect and anticipate my special time with our Lord. I become excited when I know I need to meet Him. I prepare myself for this time. I go to this window, lift my hands and praise Him. I tell Him what I feel about Him. I state my love for Him. I then wait for Him to speak.

I have never been stood up. He is always on time and always there. He will not disappoint you. He comes right on time at the appointed time. Nothing prevents Him from meeting you.

Find your secret spot, your secret closet, your secret window. Wherever it may be, find it and make a date to meet the Lord there.
