The US Senate Intelligence Commitee finally releases the information they knew all along but still denied in their rush to accept the slanted intelligence put forth by a President hellbent on going to war.  Today the Senate Intelligence Committee released a definitive report denying that there was ever any ties between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda in the years leading up to the invasion of Iraq.

As those who took the time to even casually peruse history books already knew, there are just as many wide ideological differences between Muslims as there are between Christians.   Just because Saddam and Osama Bin Laden pray to the same Allah doesn't mean they don't share the same kind of intense differences that exist between, say, the Pope and Jerry Falwell.

What people who have believed this bunk coming from the White House should have realized long ago is that Saddam Hussein is like any other politician.   Just like Pres. Bush allowed his campaign workers to spread vicious lies about Sen. John McCain during the 2000 primary elections in order to keep his firm grasp on the lead for the nomination, so did Saddam Hussein have no room for a strong opponent like Osama Bin Laden.  As the Senate report indicates, Saddam viewed Islamic extremists as a threat to his enormous palaces and fine living.

How anyone - even people as fearful as Democrat Senators - could ever have bought into the idea that Saddam Hussein would be willing to join forces with a true believer willing to live in a cave in order to further his fundamental beliefs is beyond my capacity to reason.   In addition, the Senate report contains evidence that only lends further credence to the already well-established view that the Bush administration knowingly used inaccurate information to ramp up support for their decision to take the country to war against a man who had no ties whatever to anyone involved in 9/11.

Meanwhile, the entire might of the US military and intelligence remain incapable of finding ONE SINGLE JERKOFF HIDING IN A CAVE.

Barefoot, allow me to make this one thing clear. One raving maniac controls a ragtag band of murderers, the other controls the largest military might in the world. Sleep easy friend.

I don't need a report to tell me this. I trust in my Commander-in-Chief, and I saw him on television at a press conference, and when asked what Iraq had to do with 9/11, our President exclaimed "Nothing!" That's good enough for me.

History records that sometimes we need a raving maniac to combat his equal. So the strugle continues.

From the news I saw, this report was concluded in 2005. If this is true, than it is one more case of this criminal administration trying to cover its tracks. If there is anyone who still believes that anything this administration does will make you "safer" then you deserve to be led around like a sheep.

Well, amongst the "reality-based" community, this should be the final nail in the coffin. Alas, I fear there will ever be those who refuse to acknowledge this, because it quite simply violates their vision of the world. But I feel obligated to repeat these wise words..."There's an old saying in Tennessee... I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee...that says, fool me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me...you can't get fooled again." Indeed. We know that the hypnotized never lie...do you?
