Sooner or later you going to realize you're in debt. How will you get out? Consolidation is one way but will it really benefit you? Maybe it will, maybe it won't but you may want to try to do it on your own. Forget consolidation or filing bankruptcy that just going to delay your life for the next six month to a year. Here are a few tips I think you should consider for pulling yourself out of debt.

1. Stop buying useless things

Yes, stop buying useless thing will save you a whole bunch of money. What are useless things? A useless thing for me is cell phones. You may say I have a cell phone addiction. Other useless things include shoes (women don't kill me), clothes (if you have too much already), trips that you can't afford, and accessories (cell phones, iPods, or computers). If you can't afford it just leave it alone. Remember, one day these stuff will be the thing of the past and then what? It will become cheaper just give it some time.

2. Pay more than the minimum

If you like most people the minimum of your credit cards are pretty low. Why are they so low? They're low for one reason because most people only pay the minimum. If you keep paying the minimum you're going to have that card for a while. I suggest if you have a job you should be almost to pay at least thirty dollar more than the minimum. Yes, I know that thirty could be going other places but come on people we're trying to get out of debt here. Think about it.

3. Stop signing up for more credit

If you have more than five credit cards you're already in trouble so your thinking is why not get one more? That is the wrong thinking, while you're signing up for all these cards your credit score is getting lower and lower. Don't get suck into the offer that comes in the mail knowing you have bad credit. Guess what they know that too. Stop signing up for credit card because even if you're denied that still affect your credit.
