Allot of relationships can go on a downward spiral when the wife/girlfriend is sick. The reason is because most men just don't know what to do when their loved one is dependant on them. It isn't that they don't love them, its just that they become helpless when caring for the girl of their dreams. It may be known that women are more of the nurturing type, but men can actually be better at it, if they know how and actually want to do it. Emphasis on "want".

Here are a few helpful tips on becoming the type of guy that they want and need.

1) Make Her Feel Relaxed

Make her feel relaxed by fixing her a nice comfortable spot on the couch, with soft pillows and a nice cozy blanket. Place all the remote controls near her, that way she doesn't need to get up. I personally find that the "Planet Earth" DVD is good comfort viewing. There's something about watching little baby animals that gives women a warm, healing feeling inside.

2) Therapeutic Foods

Now that she is nice and comfortable and watching a nice movie, which will hopefully take her mind off of the sick feeling, she will need something to help her immune system fight the virus. Chicken noodle soup is always a great choice, but sometimes not quite enough. I find that hot "Chamomile" tea, mixed with a teaspoon of rum and a tablespoon of honey, helps to soothe her sore throat and makes her nice and warm inside. Jell-O doesn't hurt no one either.

3) Show Her That You Care

Nothing in this world can heal as well as the touch from someone you love. Kiss her forehead, rub her back or just cuddle with her. True, some people don't like to be around people when they are sick, but if she doesn't mind then just be with her. By doing this, it shows that you care for her and it will help take her mind of her sick feeling. A good helpful tip is to give her a gentle foot rub, because a lot of nerve ending are located in the feet.

I hope these tips will help you and her. Get well soon!
