For the past 2 years, I have been watching several of my close friends and associates get married. It's been wonderful to witness so much love and commitment in such a short period of time. The weddings were all beautiful and well planned. The decorations, the flowers, the colors, the invitations - everything was absolutely breathtaking. From what I know of all these couples, I definitely believe that they have everything working in their favor to make their marriages last.

One thing that I've also noticed is that they didn't stress out too much over the planning of their weddings. They cared about how everything turned out, and they wanted their guests to enjoy themselves. But I noticed how each couple kept the main thing the main thing. I like most women, love weddings. The whole process of planning a day filled with beauty and love that will be centered on you and the man of your dreams...that is just saturated in estrogen. We love that stuff! However, there is a thin line between being excited about just that day and being excited about finally marrying the man that you've waited your entire life for.

Girl, you are sooo right! Weddings should be stress free. I've come to find out that it's actually the people that aren't the Bride and groom that do most of the trippin' and truth be told, it's not even their wedding. I'ma need folks to calm down.

Your article sheds much truth about the couples that focus on the wedding and at times don't take into consideration the hard work in takes to work on the actual marriage.
