Act Crazy; Let's Celebrate Temporary Insanity Day!

"Don't let people drive you crazy when it is within walking distance." ---Unknown

I recently found out that "Temporary Insanity Day" existed. Who knew?

Sometimes, I feel like I celebrate insanity every day, but at least there is one day I can plead temporary insanity. Actually, that's how the day made the calendar; February 19, is the first day temporary insanity was accepted as a plea in court. In honor of this dubious occasion I will
 behave inappropriately today.

Perhaps I will convince someone of my temporary insanity, or push someone toward the edge of their own insanity. You may want to try some of the following ideas, too.

· Mumble incoherently to everyone who tries to speak to you, including kids. You may as well take them on a trip to temporary insanity.

· On the elevator, state loudly that you don't like people staring at the back of your head.

If riding with a friend rehash the old elevator joke:

"I bet you're glad to be out. What were you in for this time?"

"I beat up the last person who looked at the back of my head."

· Every time someone asks you to do something ask if they'd like fries with that order.

· Ask everyone what gender they are.

· Set your spouse's phone to alarm every fifteen minutes during the day. They may as well join the family in the state of temporary insanity.

· Change the television channel five minutes before the end of every show.

· Repeat everything that is said to you in the form of a question.

· Watch people suspiciously and scribble in a notebook.

· Stop, tilt your head and pretend you're listening to voices. Nod, in response.

· Forward every email in your inbox to everyone on your contact list..........twice.

· Talk to strangers as if they are long lost friends. Ask them how they've been. Ask about the family. Comment about how long it's been since you've seen
them. See how many will join you in temporary insanity.

Enjoy your day of temporary insanity. Please add your own tricks to making people think you are crazy or driving people crazy below.

Relax and go crazy today. You can always get back to normal tomorrow.

I just wanted to let you know, I think that's a great image. When I first accessed this article it was via the email link and the image wasn't animated. Today, scrolling though your content to see what I may have missed, I noticed the image was animated on the index list. Good-stuff, Lenora ;-p
