12 New Dancers Twirl into Season 6 of Dancing with the Stars

Wait no longer! As announced by ABC last night, the sixth season of Dancing With The Stars will kickoff Monday, March 17. Dancing with The Stars is a brilliantly created dance competition that pairs celebrities up with professional ballroom dancers. They perform LIVE in front of the nation and a studio audience. They are judged by a panel of judges and the viewers at home.

This year promises to be the best yet! I have anxiously awaited this announcement for some time. Last night I sat through the whole finale of Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann to finally find out who the lucky stars were, and I was not disappointed! To have such a wide range of people and personalities with such divers backgrounds, this season is sure to be full of excitement and surprises ( hence the double elimination that will take place March 25 )!

The new cast consists of comedian Adam Corolla, Former of CSI: Miami Latin hottie Cristian De La Fuente, Shannon Elizabeth, who is most famously known as the hot foreign exchange student in the blockbuster film American Pie, 1980's box office force Steve Guttenburg, R&B Singer Mario, Oscar winner Marlee Matlin, world-known Magician Pene Jillette, grand slam tennis champ Monica Seles, defensive end for the Miami Dolphins (aka Mr. Football) Jason Taylor, Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur, Olympic Gold Medalist in figure skating Kristi Yamagushi and last, but certainly not least, Priscilla Presley.

Young and old alike are sure to enjoy this friendly yet competitive dance show. Each week brings a different dance challenge and higher expectations from the dancers. It is exciting and unique to watch as the dancers evolve through the weeks.
