Cheating in Relationships: Qualities that Separate Non-Cheaters from Cheaters

Those qualities that separate non-cheaters from the cheaters of the world are many. This is a comforting thought for the non-cheaters, and a very disturbing and angry one to the cheaters. Whether we like it or not everything we do says something about who we are. Cheaters want to believe they're just as good as anyone else, they just make different choices. That's true in one sense, however, the choices cheaters make end up hurting others. So, we can conclude from this, that cheaters choose to hurt others. Well, that doesn't make them the best little do-bees in my book. Sorry cheaters, no A-OK from this gal. Let's look at some of the qualities that non-cheaters seem to have that cheaters most obviously are lacking.

Integrity-

Anyone with any sense of integrity would never cheat on the person they love. Integrity means having a strong set of values and morals. Obviously if your cheating, you're lacking integrity. Part of the reason non-cheaters don't cheat is because their integrity is well intact.

Empathy-

The definition of empathy is the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes, and being sensitive to their feelings. Anyone who is capable of exhibiting and feeling empathy could never cheat, because they would understand the pain that they would inflict on the person they love. If you ask most non-cheaters would they ever do this, their answer is most often, Never.

Forethought-

Anyone with the ability of forethought would be able to think ahead, and know all the possible serious consequences involved in straying. Non-cheaters think ahead, while cheaters just think about the pleasure of the moment.

Spirituality-

Whatever religion you are, those with true spirituality could never cheat. Spirituality is about love for others, doing what is right, and knowing others are to be treated, as we would want ourselves to be treated. It's about knowing human beings are worthwhile, no harm should be brought to another, and ones spirit should never be crushed. Non-cheaters often times have a very strong spirituality.
