Even those of us who are trying to lose weight are not free from Girl Scout Cookies. It would be rude, not mention heartless, to say no. Of course, this is how I felt when my boyfriend asked if I wanted to buy some Girl Scout Cookies from a woman he works with. I simply couldn't say no. So, I decided to try something different this time. I chose the Peanut Butter Patties. But, would this be a bad choice? Should I have stuck with the classic Thin Mints?

Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Patties Review: Taste

In the South we have a very simple candy that combines both sweet and savory flavors. You place peanut butter on top of a Ritz Cracker and then dip it in chocolate. It's unbelievably good. Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Patties remind me of that simple, yet sinful, candy. These cookies have a slightly salty taste, are crunchy and buttery. The peanut butter is nestled into the cookie and then the whole thing is coated in milk chocolate. I was in heaven with only one bite.

Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Patties Review: Nutrition Facts

Okay, let's face it. Girl Scout Cookies are not healthy. A serving of Peanut Butter Patties is 2 cookies. Yes, they're unhealthy. But, they're for a great cause. Just stick to the serving size and you'll be fine. Now, stop hyperventilating!

Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Patties Review: Price

A box of Girl Scouts Peanut Butter Patties will cost around $3.50. This may seem a tad expensive, but it helps send Girl Scouts on a yearly trip. Now, be sure to buy several boxes the next time the Girl Scouts come knocking!

Am just waiting to find a girlscout selling now that I got a pay from the temp agency. Will get all I can afford and stick them in the frig to last as long as possible. Never long enough. Good review of one of their offerings.

Mmmm, you are so bad, Amy. It's 2:30 AM and I'm starving. Where's a Girl Scout when you need one? I went to girlscouts.org and was greeted with a clickable big chocolate cookie that leered out at me with an inviting "Find Cookies Now!" I clicked, entered my zip code, and hoped I would get a home number or a cell I could text... Nope. I will have to wait until daylight when the "Girl Scouts of West Central Florida" will "help me place a cookie order." Arghrrrrr. Oh, I just remembered, I still have a Chocolate Mint Snickers in the frig... (Also, you've got me missing home cooking from North Carolina now, too...) Great article and good, even yummy write. Michael

I'm not from the south, but your Ritz crackers, chocolate, and peanut butter sound heavenly. As for the peanut butter Girl Scout cookies, yum!

Yep. I ordered these, but I am still waiting for them. Every time the doorbell rings, I keep hoping it's the little Brownie down the street with my cookies. So far, no such luck. Just the UPS man with more work-related stuff. I am craving those thin mint cookies the most! ;-)

Great review! As the mom of two Girl Scouts I know how much the cookie sales help out the girls.

We don't do peanut butter patties here but we do have two peanut butter cookies- one is a peanut butter sandwich and the other is Tagalogs, a chocolate covered peanut filled cookie.
