I am sure there are a lot of Paula Abdul fans out there who are going to jump me about this, but watching American Idol tonight, I was more amazed by Paula Abdul than I was by the performers. There were some knock out guys on there and I am partial to the little David guy and some of the others. I liked the young Castro fellow and the last guy that sang too.

I digress. What the hell is Paula on? I was stunned by her nauseous, fawning, appalling behavior. She looked so stoned I was surprised that she could even articulate. If that is what she did. "You are so many colors."

Even though Simon is ridiculously harsh, and told the one guy his performance was grotesque, I would rather here his outlandish, attention getting insults than watch Paula waving her hands in front of her frozen, stoned face. Maybe I am just imagining things but the only thing that was missing was a quart of something alcoholic sitting in front of her. What is in that coke?

I think she is great. Even if on meds she is the only nice one there. A perfect combo, one nice, one factual, one nasty - they make a great team and they are making millions or even billions for their producers.

I have to say one more thing about the possible MS issue. That's really reaching. Anyone in the spotlight that does have a real medical problem that would make them appear stoned or on something should clear up the confusion - if that's the case. If they really are drugged up, whether it's for a medical reason or otherwise, should be replaced if they can't do their job without acting goofy. I admit I take narcotic pain meds daily for a serious problem, and I don't act the least bit loopy. It's no longer a personal issue if the person seems to be drugged and they chose to be on television. If they want privacy they need to find a new profession.

She tends to be emotional and I do think that perhaps those pain meds may have a bit more "kick" than she realizes. I don't think she has any idea that she is being affected, if that is the cause.

That's nothing compared to last night Feb 20 - 2008 When she answered the question about how the newest female contestants could keep from being nervous before going on stage And, nobody is even mentioning it anywhere (I googled it, and saw nothing) Then, Simon said - "Well, how can you follow a response like that one" It was a riot!!!!!!!!!! She was obviously wasted when she responded - didn't really even anwer the question just said "you guys are so great" I'm actually thinking she may even vote ME through - maybe I should audition. I hope she doesn't get fired - she is so entertaining when she claps like a psychopath
