BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin, February 19 - In my mind if Barack Obama wins the bid for the Democratic party to run for president of the United States in 2008, John McCain will have a very good chance of winning. To me, it is also clear that McCain has already beat Mike Huckabee hands down, and will be representing the Republicans of this country; however I do admire Huckabee's enthusiasm and unwillingness to give up the fight.

While on a trip to Wisconsin with some of my fellow College Democrats, we met up with the group that supports the opposition on Monday evening, the College Republicans of The University of Wisconsin. They mentioned to us that they would be attending the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel the next morning to hear Arizona's Senator, John McCain, give a speech, and that we were invited to go if we wanted. They told us that if we had not heard John McCain speak before, that he would most likely surprise us. They also mentioned some facts about him and what he supports, and I was very intrigued by that, and I decided to accept their invitation.

The next morning, on February 19th, I was very nervous. I am not a Republican, by far. The only two things I support, that they do too, are my beliefs on abortions and gay marriages; in those two things I am very conservative. Because of this, I did not know what to expect upon our early arrival to the event.
