The Best and Worst of the American Idol Boys

Last night American Idol kicked off the top 24 round. Finally, it's not longer up to just Randy, Paula, and Simon. Now, America gets to vote on which Idol contestants they like the best. The first show featured the 12 boys of the American Idol top 24. Who was the best? Who was the worst? Here is how my votes go:

12. Chikezie

I wanted to like Chikezie, but the tone of his voice sounded horrible to me. Then he copped too much attitude when Simon dogged his outfit and singing. I give him 5 out of 10 making him the first who should be voted off American Idol.

11. Luke

Seems like a nice guy, but sang too sharp for my taste. Like Simon said, Luke probably was the most forgettable of the night. I give him a 6 out of 10 making him the second guy who should be voted off American Idol.

10. David Cook

David Cook was praised for rocking out that So Happy Together song. I thought the rocking was kind of lame. Could have been.... Should have been much better. I like him slightly better than Luke, but wouldn't feel bad if he were to get kicked off instead. Although, it's doubtful that will happen. I give him a 6.5 out of 10.

09. Colton

Simon was right yet again. Colton sang well, but nothing all that special stood out about it. I think he can do better though, and would like for him to get a second chance. 7 out of 10.

08. David Hernandez

I liked this David better than I thought I would. Loved the tone of his voice, but just comes off a tad bit boring. Another American Idol I hope gets a second chance. 7.5 out of 10.

07. Jason Yeager

A little torn on Jason Yeager. Love the Moon River song, but have heard better takes on it than Jason's. Had some flaws, but something about it reminded me of Michael Buble. Would like to hear him again. 7.5 out of 10.

06. Robbie

Didn't blow me away, but I prefer this rocker to David Cook. Wasn't quite as boring as David and didn't seem as flawed as Jason. I like Robbie, but wouldn't feel terrible if he got kicked off. Another 7.5 out of 10.
