Forked Run State Park is a multi use park located in Eastern Ohio that provides many recreational opportunities and a place just to get away from it all. Forked Run State Park is situated on a forested ridge near the Ohio River and offers a 100 acre lake. A large campground, miniature and disc golf, a handful of trails and numerous game courts are also available with in the park. There are numerous picturesque picnic areas many with views of the lake.

The campground at Forked Run State Park offers over 140 camp sites, more than half with electrical hookups. Three cabins are also available to rent for those who don't want to rough it too much. The campground sprawls over a ridge providing plenty of room to move around. The roads in the area provide a nice location for kids riding their bikes. Showers, a dump station, and pet friendly camp sites are available as well.

Water is a primary reason that many people come to Forked Run State Park. Whether you are in the area to boat or fish on the Ohio River or have came to the area to fish in the stocked lake in the State Park, Forked Run State Park has many activities for you. The Ohio River has experienced much improved fishing over the past decade or so and provides numerous small tributaries and other structure to fish. Forked Run State Park's lake is stocked with Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and other game fish and is a nice lake to fish. As the lake is primarily surrounded with forest, much of the lake is often shaded from the sun providing a relaxing day on the water. Bank fishermen also have plenty of opportunities to fish near the boat docks and other areas more difficult to reach. A handicap accessible fishing dock with rails is also available. The lake at Forked Run State Park is restricted to boats with motors of 10 HP or less. The lake provides a sandy beach for swimmers that is about 100 yards long.
