Digital photography is a great way to protect precious memories for years to come. However, if you desire to have your memories preserved in good quality, then you will need to purchase a digital camera that can handle all of the demands you will throw at it. If you are like most consumer photographers, i.e. weekend vacations, hanging out with friends, family functions, your photos will range in style as well as in location. This is why it is a good idea to purchase a digital camera that is as versatile as you are. The Canon PowerShot 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera, SD870 has some of the greatest features that are placed within a user-friendly product. Main Product Features:
The main feature that I want to discuss with this Canon PowerShot digital camera is the 8.0 Megapixel image capacity. When you have a digital camera with this many megapixels you are able to enjoy extremely detailed photographs that can be enlarged easily and without loss of image detail.
With Optical Image Stabilizer, you are able to take pictures even when you are not on a stable surface, and your images will still come out crystal clear. This is a great feature to have for any type of photographer.
Perhaps the most unique feature within this digital camera is the Face Detection Technology. Within this system the digital camera actually recognizes the formats of individuals' faces, which then aligns the camera and stabilization features.
The digital zoom within this Canon PowerShot is quite impressive. There is a 4x digital zoom and a 3.8x optical zoom. While some photographers may require greater zooming capabilities, for the average consumer photographer this is adequate amounts of zoom.
Having a DIGIC III Image Processor built-into this camera will provide users with high-performance images and increased functionality. The Built-In Red-Eye Remover will eliminate the need to touch-up your photos after you have taken them.
