The Casper Area Transportation Coalition (CATC) in Wyoming is the public transportation bus service for this particular city. The Casper Area Transportation Coalition is made up of six public transportation bus routes, which cover some small Wyoming towns, too. Here's the rundown on the public transportation bus riding option called Casper Area Transportation Coalition, which transports passengers around this Wyoming city and metropolitan area.

Running Times and Fares

First, the times of operation for this service, when there aren't any holidays, are Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (the last CATC bus leaves the downtown transfer station at 5:30 p.m.) No CATC route service is available on Saturdays or Sundays or major holidays like Thanksgiving or July 4th. The following route fares are one way fares, and transfers needed for your one way route are free:

Regular Fare: $1.00
Students: 75 cents (Valid student identification required)
Kids under 5 years of age: Free
Elderly and Disabled Folks: 50 cents.
Route Deviation: $2.00
Subsidized Tokens: Application required to review income. Call 307-237-4287 to find out more.

The public transportation in this Wyoming city even offers monthly passes, which offer as much bus travel as desired on the city's four bus lines:

Regular: $30.00
Students: $25.00 (Student identification required)
Elderly and Disabled Folks: $15

Things To Keep In Mind When Using The Casper Area Transportation Coalition

The Casper Area Transportation Coalition offers lift equipped buses for just Dial-A-Ride service, discussed later. Not eating or drinking on the bus nor raising heck helps keep the buses clean and peaceful for other riders.

It's also wise to be at your bus stop at least five minutes early since there's only one pick-up per hour, because with all my experience using public transportation in various cities, I can tell you the bus or subway drivers generally pass by between five minutes early and only five minutes late on their fixed routes.
