Bull Shoals-White River State Park, located 14 miles from Mountain Home, Arkansas in the beautiful Ozark Mountains offers wonderful camping experiences. Campers here can enjoy becoming closer to nature by hiking, fishing or just relaxing around the campsite. This park also has restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, a boat dock, store and a gift shop and is handicapped accessible.

Campsites at this state park range from premium hookups, which include electric, water and sewer with a beautiful site located on the White River, to tent camping with no hookups. Rates per day for these camping sites are $21.50 for a premium site with electric, water and sewer hookups located at a premium site on the White River and $18.00 for a premium site with electric and water, also located at a premium site on the White River. For $16.50 a preferred site with electric and water, located on a site not as nice as the premium site, but still very nice and on the river can be reserved or a tent site with no hook ups can be reserved for $8.00. If a guest does not have any camping equipment, this park offers Rent-A-RV, which is a 29' trailer with heat and air conditioning for $75 per day or Rent-A-Camp, which includes a tent set up with two cots, a lantern, stove and ice chest for $40 per day plus a $40 deposit. A standard pavilion can also be rented if needed. This pavilion is available either per day, which is 8am to 10pm, or per use, which is 8am to 2pm or 4pm to 10pm. Cost per use is $25-45 and cost per day is $40-80. Groups of 51 or more will pay $20 more for the standard pavilion.

After deciding on accommodations, the next decision will be what activity to begin with. Bull Shoals-White River has many activities to offer such as interpretive programs, picnic areas, hiking trails and playgrounds. Water activities are also available here, such as fishing for trout, bass, bream, crappie and catfish, float trips, canoe or kayak trips or a scenic tour. Boats, canoes and kayaks are also available for rent.
