Hip-hop, swear words, female degradation, underage drug-use, and billions of other things are wrong with this generation. Though our generation is infused with an immense amount of technology, our people's social skills, intellectual skills, and general emotional skills are suffering and diminishing as each moment goes on.

"Your grandmother was a hoe..." Is that what we will be saying to our grand-kids? I'm assuming logically, that if someone likes a certain type of music when they're 25, it won't drastically change by the time they become grandparents. All this talk about "bitches and hoes" in these rap songs continue to help spiral our kids into a hateful attitude towards the best creation on this earth: Woman. What will happen to family music such as Elvis, The Beetles, The Door, etc.? Did Eminem and 50 Cent replace Johnny Cash and the Four Horsemen? The language is atrocious but irresistible. Drug-use is thought to be COOL these days... "Smokin' Blunts" is a COMMON rap phrase to degenerate our nation. When did anyone start appreciating drug use? Is it really something our kids should be looking up to?!

What about the mouths on our kids? Our kids swear and think nothing of it. 20 years ago, if you swore to or at your parents, they'd slap you in the face. If you were lucky you would get the soap. I think a gigantic lack-of discipline has ruined our children- but they are savable. Between bullying, and nervous disorders, problems have grown bigger than ever. The smart, pretty girl is bullying the smelly kid again... What else is new?

The intellectual problem among this youth is disgusting. Nowadays, people don't or never knew how to do fractions and decimals. This is appalling. Calculators are great for problems, but children should know the general math behind it and not rely on them. A calculator is a tool to help do math. It is not a tool to do math for someone. Kids need to put more time into studying, learning, and caring than they do gaming, swearing, and rapping.

Takeaways
  • Not all kids are bad
  • What about the mouths on our kids?
  • "Your grandmother was a hoe..."
Did You Know?
A calculator is a tool to help do math.

The funny thing is the "family" music you mention was railed against by the adults of it's generation. Don't forget that 40 years ago calling someone the N-word was acceptable speech and committing a crime againsdt a minority was given a slap on the wrist if even prosecuted at all because they weren't considered worthy of legal protection. Norms change constantly, some for the good, some for the bad. Try to change the bad but don't delude yourself that everything was perfect when you were growing up.

Of course we're doomed. It's a natural cycle. Societies/civilizations achieve some success, get fat and lazy, get permissive, lose their moral compass, begin to crumble, and someone leaner and meaner finishes them off.
