World Wrestling Entertainment has sometimes been considered a traveling circus. Filled with crazy characters, plot lines, and obnoxious things occurring every week, one of the most circus-like characters in the WWE has been Doink the clown. Doink first premiered as an evil clown, pulling pranks on many WWE superstars, but he soon became a fan favorite and has participated in many memorable matches in the WWE. Here is a look at some of the best Doink matches in the WWE.

Wrestlemania IX: Doink's first major feud in the WWE was against former Demolition tag team member Crush. Doink faked a broken arm and when Crush has his back turned he revealed that the broken arm was really just a fake arm and he beat Crush merciless with it. They met in a match at Wrestlemania IX and after a little bit of battling Doink baffled audiences when a clone Doink appeared in the ring. The distraction lasted long enough for Doink to take advantage and become victorious in the match.

Summerslam 1993: When Jerry "The King" Lawyer claimed he was injured Doink got his chance to go up against one of WWE's best when he faced Bret "The Hitman" Hart at the 1993 Summerslam. Doink's antics would not work against the "Hitman" though because Hart took advantage and made Doink tap out to the Sharpshooter. Doink would later turn on Jerry Lawyer and become a good guy in the WWE.

Survivor Series 1994: After turning on Lawyer a feud would be inevitable and this culminated at the 1994 Survivor Series. By this time Doink had his mini-companion, Dink, by his side and was joined by two other little clowns to go up against The Royal Family that consisted of Jerry Lawyer and three other clowns. Lawyer got the upset victory by sweeping the whole clown team, but in the end the midgets all turned on Lawyer and tried to attack him. Doink returned and shoved a pie right into Lawyer's face. This was a fun and interesting match that really showed that Doink was a clown.

Did You Know?
Several wrestlers has played the character Doink, but the original was the wrestler Matt Bourne.
