The '50s had a lot of great music. It was the beginning of rock 'n' roll music, with Elvis and his famous hips. The 1950s are also well known for all the love songs. I wasn't born until a long time after the '50s, but I grew up knowing and loving the songs of the '50s. It's a tribute to how well the songs of the 1950s stood the test of time and to how so many of them became classics. These are my favorite romantic songs from the 1950s.

Number 10: Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight
Recorded by: Spaniels. It is very romantic, it talks about him not wanting to leave his sweetheart. Although this is the most popular song, it is one that I have always liked.

Number 9: Love Potion Number 9
Recorded by: The Clovers. This was a favorite song of mine when I was young, it was kinda a strange song for a little kid to like but I loved the idea that there could be a love potion. While some people wouldn't consider this a romantic song, I think it can be considered romantic, someone going all out for love.

Number 8: All I have to do is dream
Recorded by: The Everly Brothers. This is such a romantic song because it shows that even if he can't be with you, he is happy just by dreaming about you.

Number 7: Lonely Teardrops
Recorded by: Jackie Wilson. This is another sang about a lost romance. Even though this is a sad love song, I think it is a very romantic song.

Number 6: I walk the Line
Recorded By Johnny Cash. Everybody knows this song, and it has been made even more poplar recently because of the movie. The song is about Cash staying faithful to his wife even though he was on the road. This is one of those songs that tells a story with the lyrics.

Number 5: Band of Gold
Recorded by: Don Cherry. This song is a romantic song, but a sad romantic song. It reminds me of a few relationships that I have had that didn't work work out.

Number 4: Three Coins In A Fountain
Recorded by: Frank Sinatra. This song remind me of the movie, three coins in the fountain. Any Song by Frank Sinatra has to be great and this one is, it is romantic, and talks about lovers wishing with coins in a fountain.
