Laci Peterson

Laci Denise Peterson, a missing woman in Modesto, California. A beautiful young woman, 8 months pregnant, seemingly happily married. All photos of her show a vibrant, glowing, happy woman, obviously happy with her life. My God, who in the hell could take that away from her to satisfy their own selfish whims?

I fail to understand. What gives people the right to take someone from the people that love them? Further, what gives people the right to inflict such angst upon people that trust them, that care for them? To be that selfish, that evil is beyond my comprehension. I have my suspicions about Scott, Laci's husband. I've had them since day one. What caring husband leaves his 8 month pregnant wife on Christmas Eve to go fishing by himself? Give me a flippin break. That tipped me off right away. Why can others not see that? Scott should have been a suspect from day one. The fact that he may have taken out such a large policy on Laci should have been checked out and made known immediately after her disappearance!

There are so many factors here; so many things that leads the trail of suspicion directly to Scott. I'm sure if one would delve further, and had the resources, they would turn up, or have turned up a lot more than the public is allowed to know. It's a damn shame that this man has delusions of grandeur, that he's above the law... and above getting caught. It's so obvious he's responsible. Now if he would just take responsibility. The biggest heartbreak? Connor. It's mindboggling to say the least that this guy has so little conscience that he can harm his very own child. My hope is that justice is swift and just.

*UPDATE* 12 November 2004-

I {i}knew{/i} Scott was guilty- right from the start! Justice was not swift, but his punishment will be just, though I believe his punishment will come from his fellow inmates, and not by any judge. Evil is as evil does and Scott Peterson is the epitome.

Laci and Connor- you may both truly rest in peace. You've never been forgotton and you never will be.
