Laura lived at the Good Shepherd Orphanage, but was eventually adopted. She has very fond memories of the orphanage, and decides to move back there along with her husband Carlos and their small son Simon. Their plan is to live there, and also run it as a home for special needs children. Simon is a young boy with a very vivid imagination; he is an only child and has a few imaginary friends that he plays with. At first his parents don't think much of the imaginary friends, but while Simon and Laura play a game she begins to wonder if there may be more to these "friends" .

The parents along with their children that are planning to live in her facility come by for an open house to see if it is a place they would want their children to attend. Due to an unfortunate event the facility is never opened and Laura's dream is shattered. Carlos thinks that his wife is losing her mind, but she finds others who believe her story. They come by the house to help Laura figure out what may have happened at the orphanage all those years ago.

I've always said that subtitled films are the best ones to watch. So many of us miss out on the opportunity to view a wonderful movie, because we don't want to take the time to read throughout it. This film was packed with very suspenseful moments. Towards the end of the film the mystery is solved of course. When they flashback to different scenes in the movie you'll find yourself going "oh that's what happened".

There have been a few reviews that I've read for this movie, and they're full of spoilers in my opinion. My goal when doing a review is to give the reader just enough information that makes them want to see or prevent seeing a film. This is why it isn't my norm to read reviews before seeing a film. Generally I base my decision on scenes shown in the trailer. Of course there have been times where the trailers have steered me wrong, but it rarely ever happens.

Great review without giving too much away. It definitely sounds like a good story with some chills. I also love foreign movies and prefer watching them with subtitles. Dubbing is usually so horrid. Subtitles may be a bit distracting at first, but after a few minutes you get used to it and It all feels seamless.
