If you yourself want the world to be a better place, it is up to you to start the progression, as it is up to the person standing beside you. We all must do our part to modify the attitudes within our world to make it a better place for all of humanity to live, work and play.

We all have a responsibility to humanity to make this a better place for us all to live, yet some people forget this responsibility. Instead, we sit, complain, and we say there is nothing we can do but the fact of the matter is we can change the world, but it begins with our attitudes about those people in our world.

If you dislike the fact that someone is parasitical of the welfare system, then demonstrate to that person that he or she is valuable. Build those persons self esteem so that they do feel as if they are able to get out and do something with their life. By helping them, you are doing your part to change the world.

Perhaps offer to baby sit so that person can go look for a job, or let them know if your company is hiring. Offer to create a resume for them, drive them around to look for a job or simply listen to their real needs, instead of what you perceive their needs to be. Perhaps that person has no baby sitter, car, or skills and that is why he or she continues to sit on welfare year after year. Help someone today, and in turn, you will help to change the world.

If you dislike that, your neighbor does not mow his or her lawn as much as they should, offer to help them mow it. Perhaps they are too poor to own a lawn mover or afford gas and have to barrow a lawnmower in order to mow their lawn. We need to stop and look at the reasons. Laziness could be a reason but there is usually more going on then meets the eye. By changing our own attitudes, we can change the world or at least a small portion of it.

Perhaps that single mom next door needs help controlling the teenage children left home while she is working. Do not continually call the police, but instead offer to help set the teenagers on the right path, by giving them something constructive to do. Every small thing we do for someone helps change the world.

Very nice. My church has has a slogan for several years now, "If you want peace, work for justice".
