Guitar Tool Rack was designed for the ultimate guitar recording experience. The box set comes with the interface in which you then link to your recording studio, working best with digital studios as it comes with a virtual amp.

The software was designed to give recording professionals superior sound. It's the most all in one guitar software available, combining mics, amps, cabinets, digital effects, a pedal board waves stomp which includes 23 popular floor board settings.

The Waves Amp was created to deliver professional amp sounds. Waves Amp gives you a choice of 7 different amps, each with preset knobs setting your EQ and various other popular amp settings. Several of the preset settings include Clean, which gives a smooth feel to the guitar playing. Edgy creates a rich sound with just a touch of attitude. A very interesting and popular setting is Drive. It creates a blues rock sound with large overtones. Hot would be the most popular in rock and roll sounds, especially harder songs as it gives aggressive high gain sounds and allows solo riffs to be electrifying. Modern is best for solos as it gives just enough drive. Each can be adjusted to the sound desired.

The amps come with different virtual mics, mic placement and cabinets. One way to get a great sound in the studio is to record the amp playing through two cabinets with two different microphones. The software gives the power of that in every combination. Played together, the recording changes, but yet each setting gives it a different fullness. You can even invert and phase the recording, making the stereo channel more bright and exciting. You can freely mix and match each setting.

Waves Amp software in the Guitar Tool Rack also allows studio effects such as delay, invert, phasing, panning and EQ. The software is designed to give recording guitarists and much more controlled and better sound than recording with actual hardware. Just plug in the box, and play. Everything else is done through your recording software, such as Pro Tools.
