Merced Performance Inc.: A Great California Auto Body Repair Shop

I am a lucky woman. I found an auto body repair shop I can trust and has never tried to rip me off. I know nothing about cars, and they took the time to explain to me every single repair and part replacement my car needed/undergone.

My personal experience with their great customer service and competence goes as follows:

It was a hot summer day, and I was driving my car around town running my usual errands when suddenly, my car starts to smoke and overheat. I pull over, turn off the engine, and pop the hood. I take a look and know that this is something way out of my league. So, I look at the numbers in my cell phone, and call Merced Performance to come tow my car to their facility. Within fifteen minutes they were there, and my car was off to the shop. I decided to leave my car there to receive any/all necessary repairs and was given a ride home by one of the staff members.

A few hours later, I get the call I was expecting telling me that:

My car had overheated

I needed a new thermostat gasket

I needed new brake pads and rotors

I needed a new wheel stud and lug nuts

Really? To me, this car speak is as foreign as Gaelic. So, the person on the other end broke it down for me into the simplest of terms. I verbally OK'd the repairs, and went in the next day to get my car expecting it all to cost an arm and a leg, especially due to labor prices. The damage? Only 279.77 including labor. Needless to say, I was a happy woman.

I would highly recommend any person go to this auto body place for any work they need done on their car. The staff was courteous and professional and extremely knowledgeable in their profession. I will not take my car any other place.
