Excuse Me If I am Wrong

February Fourteenth
Daylight robbery permitted
for commercial establishments
Thirty percent of the International youth
spend money lavishly
While Seventy percent of the International youth
are half-starved and unemployed
Vulgar display of
willful seduction
expressed through
new designs of cards
Finer feelings of the sublime value - 'Love'- is
buried deep by the Media
A whole day is wasted
Without any meaning
Educational institutions turn into
Entertainment centers
What can we do?
The Globe is held in strong grip by
Giants of commerce and trade
Love is given new interpretation
We have to bear with it!

I think we should be taking care of the poor and needy everyday....not just holidays...points are well presented...excellent work here.

WOW! This one really cuts to the quick! I feel the same way, even if the conditions in my nation aren't as extreme as the ones you have described here. Oh, and I have added you as a favorite!

On valentine's day, I see LOVE being *materialized*. I think when something is materialized, it loses out its tenderness! I sincerely hope your poem reaches out to the youth who spend their money irresponsibly. Thank you, appreciated!
