When you think about New Jersey, the first thing to come to mind has to be Bon Jovi. This hard-rocking group made waves all through the eighties with several top-ten hits and many number ones. Jon Bon Jovi , Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Tico Torres, and Hugh McDonald make up the group Bon Jovi. Alec John Such was one of the original members, but later left. This is a compiled history of the great songs they produced and the year they made them famous.

In 1984, the debut album self-titled "Bon Jovi" was released with the single "Runaway". Earlier written in 1980 by Jon and Dave Sabo (founder of the metal group Skid Row), it had won a radio contest in 1983 for Bon Jovi, that led to this first album.
