The best selling Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic have come a long way since their introductions. Next time you are out on the road take a quick look around and you will see these two cars everywhere. The style, the fuel efficiency and the pure economics of these cars make them a popular choice, but each attracts its own crowd of fans for different reasons. Let's take a look at some of their features and find out who would be best behind the wheel of each.

First up, the Honda Civic. When it comes to reliability, Honda Civic is a tough competitor. For 36 years it has delivered fuel economy, solid performance and a steadily improving sleek factor. The Civic of today is a long way from its predecessor that originally only came in a hatchback or the sedan model. Today's Civic is as slick as any car costing much much more.

The Civic you will find rolling off the assembly line now comes in a variety of different models. The 197 horsepower SI comes in a coupe and sedan styles with a high revving 4-cylinder engine. This is the model that car fans will put on their must have list. It comes with a six-speed transmission and a sport tuned suspension. Check out the Honda website and build one of these beauties and you will find that the price will not break the bank. The Honda Civic comes in a variety of other styles such as the Hybrid, and GX models.

Over the years the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of styles. It has been offered as a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. What has been most distinctive about this car is its reputation for reliability. Toyota rightfully boasts a car that will last well past the 100000-mile mark and continue running. And not just running, but running well. The Corolla's jab at sporty comes in the form of the XRS model that boasts a 164 horsepower engine. But what the Corolla really stands for is fuel economy, economy of price and a car that is built to last. The Corolla only comes in a sedan model today and doesn't add much in the way of extras.
