I was recently in Orange County for a Youth Ministry Training Event. This also meant that I got to see my extended family. One night I got to see my cousin. He cooked dinner for me and then we went to Pinkberry.

I had only heard of Pinkberry from a song posted on Ross the Intern's MySpace page (and I forget why I ended up there anyway).

Because of this, my cousin told me that it was frozen yogurt and was the current rage. I had told him that I had figured out that it was some type of dessert from the song.

This Pinkberry is located in Bella Terra Mall in Huntington Beach, CA. It is located at 7811 Edinger Ave #116 and can be contacted by calling 714-372-3333.

It is a small shop. There are only two flavors of the frozen yogurt - plain and green tea. There is a bar where the order is placed, but the first thing to do is choose toppings, then head over to the line to place the order.

They will serve the order right then. There are many toppings. Some are candy (I had chocolate chips on plain frozen yogurt and my cousin had Cap'n Crunch on plain frozen yogurt) and others are fruit.

This was obviously my first time to have frozen yogurt from Pinkberry. I enjoyed the flavor of the frozen yogurt. It was really sweet and also tangy. It was not like any frozen yogurt I had tasted before.

My cousin then ordered some frozen yogurt to go for his girlfriend as we were going to stop by her place so I could meet her. They packaged the frozen yogurt in a Pinkberry bag with a zip top bag of ice so it would stay cold.

When I got home from Orange County, I looked up information about Pinkberry. Apparently the dessert does not have enough bacterial culture to actually be called frozen yogurt and there has been a lawsuit over this fact.

However, even if it is not truly frozen yogurt, it is a delicious frozen dessert. I have found that no other frozen yogurt back home can compare to this frozen dessert. I miss the sweet and tangy flavor and am disappointed that there are no take offs in my city, as there are many take offs in California.

Pinkberry is located only in California and New York.

It was stated that Pinkberry has also started serving a coffee flavor frozen yogurt and shaved ice.

This is the first time that I've heard of Pinkberry. I would like to try the coffee flavor, with chocolate chips.

I've seen it in American Express ads, but of course we don't have one out here on the edge of nowhere (or middle of nowhere, maybe)
