Are Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams Too Pretty To Fly?

To be young and pretty, what a curse.

College students Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams were on there way from Tampa to Los Angeles on Southwest Airlines when they were singled out for being "too pretty." They claim that the stewardesses who were significantly older, and I am assuming not as pretty as these two girls, were rude to them. The list of offenses against these "pretty" girls by the said stewardesses include being ignored when they wanted water, and not being defended when another passenger yelled at them.

Pretty prejudice? Now that is a new one. Granted the two girls were escorted off the Southwest Airlines flight by four armed guards and questioned by the FBI for two hours before being released, but to say this was because they were too pretty, give me a break.

I know I have had some negative experiences on an airline or two, but I never thought that it was because I was "too pretty." One experience that sticks in my mind was when I was flying back from Tampa to Cleveland. I went to my seat and I noticed that a piece of gum was on it. I went to the steward and told him, there is gum on my seat, and he told me to put a piece of paper over it. I went back to my seat, on the verge of tears because I didn't want to sit on someone else's sticky germy gum, put the piece of paper down and sat in my assigned seat.

I now realize he was just being mean because I was too pretty to fly. I mean that has to be it. He didn't have other passengers to worry about, or his job to do. He wasn't just having a bad day, I was just too pretty for him to deal with. He was jealous as one of the girls claim.
