For some time I had been wanting to get a book light so I could read in bed without disturbing my 1 year old. I decided to get the Great Point Light Flex-Neck Reading Light from Amazon.com. The light had good reviews, and it was in a price range that I could justify spending, about 10 dollars. Once it arrived I put it to good use the next time I was in bed wanting to read and here is what I think about it after having it for more than 6 months.

The Great Point Light Flex-Neck Reading Light clips on to books, without leaving and imprint on the book. This was very important during the week that I was reading the final Harry Potter book. It also clips on to laptops, I liked this because as a work at home mom I knew there would be times that I would find myself working in the dark at my laptop computer. The neck is very flexible so it is easy to get the perfect angle to illuminate the pages that I am reading but not let the light leak out so it will disturb my son's sleep. I have taken the light with me a couple times and like that I can easily and safely coil it up to take up less room. According to the product it will last 30 hours until the batteries need to be changed, I wasn't counting the hours that I was using it honestly but it seemed like more to me.

It takes 2 CR 2032 batteries, the first two were included when I bought it and I have only had to replace them once and that was quite recently and I have had the Great Point Light Flex-Neck Reading Light for 8 months. I don't remember exactly how much the batteries were when I got them but I know that it was under $5.
I really don't have any complaints with the product, I can silently read without disturbing my son because to click the Great Point Light Flex-Neck Reading Light off and on is very quiet and easy. There is plenty of light generated that I don't have to worry about hurting my eyes just because I am reading at night. I think that it is a great product and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to get a reliable and inexpensive book light.
