Jack Johnson is one my favorite artists. His music offers a tranquil sound and an amazing vibe. It does not matter where you are when you hear his songs; you will feel the beach and the distinctive sound of surf life.I have two more of my favorite artists "The Cure," and "Incubus" that depict a different phase in my life as well as style.
I started to listen to Jack Johnson's music back in La Jolla, San Diego when I was attending my bachelors at UCSD. Jack Johnson's music was everywhere especially during spring and summer times. At first, I thought it was Ben Harper or Eagle -Eye-Cherrie singing; both artists have a tranquil sound as beach life style and camping energy.
The first two songs that made me his fan were "Bubble Toes" and "Flake." But my other favorites are: "Inaudible Melodies," " Let It Be Sung," "Better Together" "Do You Remember" these songs remind me of my life in La Jolla.
"Belle" came to me as gift with a dedicatory from a friend on Valentine's Day.
His other tunes that are favored by many of his fans are "Upside Down," "Sitting, waiting and wishing," Banana Pancakes," Good People,""Taylor,""No Other Way," Staple It Together," and "Constellations" all from the "In Between Dreams" album.
The new album "Sleep Through The Static" has been playing already in every alternative music station here in U.S. and abroad. After all, spring is approaching and his music evokes the tranquility as the waves and sunsets during summer time.
His music is ageless with his guitar and his soft voice. Whenever he sings evokes a sensation that seems like a get-together at the campfire with friends during summer. The "comforting" transmitted in his voice entices the listener into a different time.
It is difficult to number his favorite songs; because each of his songs evokes a special and an almost personal sentiment with his soothes voice and guitar.
