From the creators of, "Thirtysomething", comes the new television hit, "Quarterlife".

Yes, the name is interesting, maybe twenty five cent life would have worked also. This series is called "Quarterlife", Oh, okay, I get it, they are twenty five years old, they are at the quarter part of their life, but only if they live to a hundred.

"Quarterlife" debuted February 26, 2008, on NBC, the show advertised their remarkable story of beginning as webisodes, to being broad casted world wide on national television. "Quarterlife" was picked up by NBC after gaining popularity from the world wide web, discovering that information alone should imply this series will be different, original, unique. From NBC advertisement, "Quarterlife" is original and unique, because the past few weeks NBC was advertising the webisode turned, television series, as groundbreaking. Calling a series groundbreaking automatically adds pressure to the series, Arrested Development was groundbreaking, could this be the Arrested Development of mellow dramatic television series, or was it a ploy to increase ratings, would NBC lie for ratings?

The series, "Quarterlife", is based around six friends, the main character, Dylan Krieger, known as the brutally honest writer, who exposes her life and her friends lives on a newly created video blog, simply known as, "Quarterlife". Her friends discover their lives are being leaked to the world through the "Quarterlife" blog, at first they are filled with rage, but begin to realize what she did was helpful to their lives.

The series is dark, they are dealing with life struggles, but of course, struggles which not many twenty five years olds could relate to. This series carries a dramatic tone, rather than comedic, there were several jokes which were planted, but the jokes were poorly written and executed

Good article, I'm hooked on Quarterlife already so I'll be glued to the telly. Too bad it's only six episodes :(
