CINCINNATI, Ohio, February 26 - The morning was very cold, with a rain and snow mixture falling down. Many people would be stalled with fear over just a little snow.

Try telling that to the "Straight Talk Express."

That is the name of Senator/ Republican Presidential Frontrunner John McCain's campaign bus. That very same bus rolled into Memorial Hall in downtown Cincinnati. When he got out, he was greeted with supporters who he beamed at all the way to the front door of the building. There was also a hoard of McCain disdainers who let their voices heard as McCain shook their hands.

But, while this was going on, I was inside enjoying the rally's opening act, a speech by Bill Cunningham, a talk show host on 700 WLW-AM in Cincinnati. The speech was basically a knock on the Democratic campaigns of Senators Clinton and Obama. Cunningham attacked the news corporations, claiming bias on Senator Clinton by calling them such names as "Clinton Broadcasting System", "Nothing But Clinton, "Clinton News Network" and "All Bill Clinton". He then mentioned a dream he had in which in February 2009 an all democratic government that had meetings with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il.

When McCain walked in, the crowd went wild.

He began by talking to the 500 or so people about a reminder: that no Republican candidate won an election without winning Ohio. In the last ten elections, no Republican has won the White House without carrying Ohio. In 2004, President Bush won re-election. The last state he officially captured was Ohio, who went down to the wire before John Kerry conceded it.

He then mentioned the economy. Economy has been very bad in this decade, hence the need for President Bush's Economic Stimulus Package, which is about to give the taxpayers of America a sizeable payday depending on how much they earn. He backed up Bush on his plans to stimulate the economy before he leaves office.
