Lindsay Lohan Nude in New York Magazine - Get Over It!

American Should Deal with Nudity Better

Lindsay Lohan recently appeared semi-nude in photos shot by photographer Ben Stern, the man who had photographed Marilyn Monroe right before her death. Recreating poses used in the original Monroe photo shot, Lohan finally showed that she was a full adult with respect to
Hollywood past. The biggest issue with most new Hollywood stars is the short-term memories when it comes to Hollywood history and we all know those who do not learn from history are failed to repeat it.

Since appearing nude in these photos, many people have come forward and expressed disgust or outrage. Recently watching CNN Headline News, I noticed one viewer e-mailed in that they were upset that the program showed one of the photos that displayed Lohan's naked butt (from a side view) on television while their young child was watching. Really? That upsets you about the news? People murdered, raped, children abducted, baseball heroes lying about steroids, all of this happens and a full-grown woman's naked butt upsets you?

For it's entire history The United States of America has had a very Puritan view on nudity, something that is openly accepted in most world cultures. Only we, the prudes of the world, see nudity as a public disease. Drugs can infiltrate our schools and our neighborhoods but heaven forbid a young man see a naked woman. If you are a person who believes in The Holy Bible then the human body is the greatest of Our Lord God's creations. Although humanity, according to Bible tradition, learned of good and evil and knew they were naked and ashamed, the world has progressed very far since then, at least in some areas.

Ms. Lohan was brave and daring for her move to accept this and have these pictures taken. After viewing the photographs the only comment that can be made by a reasonable person is "Thank You". Ms. Lohan has a beautiful body and it is wonderful to see her displaying it in a natural and artistic way, paying tribute to not only Marilyn Monroe but also to the work of photographer Ben Stern.
