We've all seen the commercials advertising products for indigestion. They do a good job of getting the point across regarding the discomforts of indigestion and how their specific brand name product is the answer, but store-bought products for indigestions really aren't necessary. There are many natural ways to get rid of indigestion, and taking expensive store-bought products isn't required. You can get rid of indigestion easily and quickly with natural products and dietary changes. If you have a simple case of heartburn or excess acid that really doesn't seem all that simple, give these natural methods a try.

Precautionary Statement

Continual or recurring indigestion could be a sign of a more serious medical condition. In most cases it isn't, but it's best to see your doctor for a thorough exam and advice on treating serious indigestion. Use commonsense, and consider the following natural ways to get rid of indigestion.

Natural Peppermint

Peppermint has always been touted as a natural way to get rid of indigestion, but there's a difference between peppermint flavored candy and natural peppermint. If you're suffering from an upset stomach, look for lozenges that contain natural peppermint oil, and take one after each meal or when signs of stomach problems begin. It will naturally calm the stomach and help alleviate acid problems without resorting to using store-bought medications.

Chamomile Tea

One of the best natural remedies for stomach problems is chamomile tea. When I suffered from digestive disorders during pregnancy, my mother gave me a box of chamomile tea. It was very effective at calming my upset stomach, and it helped alleviate nausea and indigestion. Better yet, chamomile tea warms the body and provides soothing comfort from the inside out.

Apple Cider Vinegar
