It was time to reward myself with something just for mommy. Majority of the time parents forget to give themselves treats and toys, so I decided that it was time for me to get a better flat iron. For a few years I have been using a Maxiglide and it works well but I am tired of the teeth on the flat iron pulling my hair, has a terrible smell, my 4a hair does not stay straight past two days with its use. So I went to my second favorite online beauty store, Folica and did some research.

Initially, I was going to purchase a Chi flat iron due to its written reviews but the pictorials did not meet my needs. I wanted a diverse selection of pictures of women with somewhat similar hair types as mine and with the before and after shots attached to their reviews. With not so good luck in that department I clicked on the Sedu and read about it. I then clicked on the customer reviews and there were plenty of photos that convinced me to invest in this tool.

I slept on the idea of purchasing the flat iron, then the next evening I ordered it. At first, I received an email stating that the product was in high demand and was on back order until March. I was in high alert and stressed because by then my "got to have a new flat iron" obsession was in control. I then called Felicia's customer service number to cancel the order and search for local shops that had the flat iron. After canceling my order I received a phone call a few minuets later telling me that the order was shipped. I was completely excited because I did not want any other flat iron and I did not want to drive an hour away to maybe be able to purchase a Sedu at Ulta.

Less than two days later, on a rainy day,(my luck!) the Sedu arrived. It rained for the entire day so I then decided to wait until a dry day because us curly haired individuals know that our hair does not do so well in wet weather after its been straightened.

Great review! Most of us in my household have curly hair, but I like it to stay natural for now. However, if I ever decide to use a straightening iron, I will know which one to get. Thanks. :-)

Very good review! I have naturally wavy hair that I just let do its thing. :-)

Glad you like it. I don't really have curly hair, but I don't tend to do anything with my hair but wash it and dry it and brush if it really needs brushing. I'm not one to care much about getting my hair to look nice.

Great review! I am in the process of looking for a new flat iron myself. I'll definitely take a closer look at this one.
