When I first noticed a small bottle of perfume called Navy sitting on my moms dresser, I immediately thought that it was a fragrance designed by Old Navy. The blue and white colors on the bottle were what caused me to believe this. The text was also pretty similar to the Old Navy logo. Navy however is made by Coty. Coty is a brand of perfume that I seem to get to know more and more as time goes on. So far from what I have gotten from Coty fragrances, is that I either love it, or hate it. There is never an in between.
Anyhow, Navy comes in a circular shaped bottle, that resembles a large stand up cookie, or coin. The Navy name is scrawled not on the glass, but on the bottles blue plastic lid, in white lettering.
All in all, Navy comes in a neat shaped bottle, but that bottle is not spectacular enough for me to want to save it after the perfume is gone.
The Scent:
I sprayed Navy first on my wrists, and then on my shirt. The perfume itself is a dark burnt amber color, so I was assuming it'd smell like dead flowers or cherries. I also figured the scent would be long lasting and overpowering to the senses, because most dark colored perfumes are.
Navy however smelled like... gag;Listerine!
The claimed scents are supposed to be florals, citrus, and some cinnamon. As if! There is no denying it, Navy smells like minty Listerine. Not even the yummy Scope kind...but the nasty yellow store brand Equate version. Uch!
(I wonder if it would make for a good breath spray?! Tee-hee! Not that I am recommending that you try it!)
Last:
Luckily for me, Navy did not last long at all. The alcohol Listerine scent vanished on my skin in about 20 minutes, and about 20 minutes later the scent had vanished from my shirt.
This is a good thing though, because I did not want to spend the rest of my day reeking of mouth wash.
Recommended Wear:
I don't recommend anyone wear it. Navy is pretty raunchy, and it does not last long at all, so even if you do (for some strange reason) want to smell like Listerine, Navy won't last long anyhow. (20 minutes on skin, and 40 minutes on clothing).
