Pottery Barn Kids offers a high quality line of kids bedding that is whimsical and stylish. With designs that appear to be tailored to your child's life, and details that give the bedding a custom made look, Pottery Barn kids bedding is a great choice for your son or daughter.

When my family made a big move last year the kids finally had rooms of their own, and they were eager to decorate them. Shortly after moving, we were bombarded with coupon mailings and email offers from several home retailers, including Pottery Barn, to help us decorate and remodel the new house. Knowing that the kids would need new bedding based on the wall and décor choices they had made we decided to go shopping, first to browse and then to buy.

The first thing the girls noticed about the Pottery Barn kids bedding was the unique designs. The line of girls bedding is very contemporary, but with a childish quality that appealed to them more than any other bedding we saw that day. I looked at and like the quality of the bedding, the ripple quilting, hand embroidered designs and ample amount of cotton fill were all things that were lacking in other bedding sets we looked at.

The bedding sets from the Pottery Barn are coordinated, but I found that it was possible and very easy to mix and match the rest of the bedding because of the nature of the designs. The girls settled on the Penelope Quilted Bedding set, which features long vertical stripes in varying shades of pink and green, and alternating columns of polka dot patterns. Hand embroidered birds complete the look and allowed us to go many different routes in the rest of the room's decorations.

Purchasing the entire set of bedding from Pottery Barn Kids is definitely the easiest option available, but it can get expensive. Because I did have the coupon mailing, we went ahead and purchased the matching set of sheets with the bird design, which I knew we would not find anywhere else. However, the sham, bed skirt and duvet cover was purchased from another retailer at half the Pottery Barn price and no one can tell the difference.
