Product Review: The Zyliss Classic Cheese Grater

I am not fully satisfied with the Zyliss Classic Cheese Grater. This is certainly better than my previous metallic grater but then mediocrity is not something that I expected from reputed brand like Zyliss. I understand that they have done some cosmetic changes to make it user friendly but still this call for lot of small yet significant improvements to overcome the design flaws and I am sure in that case it will become the ultimate cheese grater. This is basically the traditional rotary cheese grater that you find in the traditional household and still in the restaurants. The Swiss is known for precision coupled with quality and the Zyliss is moderately good. Compared to the box type graters or the ones that come along with the food processor, the Zyliss Classic is a heavy duty Cheese Grater that can relentlessly shred cheese with non stop action.

This is basically made of plastic and I am not sure how long this is going to last, especially the guys like me who use the grater almost twice a day. Only time can tell about the impact resistance and durability of the cutter. But going by the customer reviews I feel that it is not that bad. Now coming to operation this is a user friendly and ergonomically designed cheese grater that can facilitates you to effortlessly grate cheese without any strain. This is by far one of the most efficient graters that I have seen to grate large amount of cheese in record time. By the time I arrange the set up and get used to the rhythm, a heap of cheese would have piled up and it is time for the next cube.
